MAC’s Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick and Lipglass: A Red Lip combo That’s Red-y for Anything

Well, hello, red!
Sure, red lips are classic and timeless and they never go out of style. True, true and true. But, oh! — I would have love to have worn MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick ($16) and Lipglass ($15) over the holidays.

Sadly, they hadn’t been around then because they’re newer than that.

As members of the MAC Viva Glam family of stunning products, 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipsticks and Lipglasses go to support the MAC aids Fund, which helps women, children and men living with HIV/AIDS.

As you may expect, Tabs is finicky about the red lipsticks he allows his pet assistants to wear, but he loves this intense blueish red (he also wishes it had been available over the holidays because it matches his red sequined Christmas outfit perfectly…).

The other day, my buddy Marisol asked me if I considered this Lipstick and Lipglass combo “must have,” and ya know, I do. Must. Have. A thousand times over.

MWAH!

Both of them rock on their own, but together — well, take a deep breath before you look in the mirror because their rich, sparkly red deliciousness will take your breath away.

I’d absolutely recommend lining your lips first, though. Both of them are, as you can probably tell, hella pigmented, and I think they’re hard to freehand without something to act as a barrier around the edges of your lip line.

I tried applying the lipstick without a liner and ended up with lipstick all over the place… I looked like that crazy clown from that Stephen King novel (what was that one called?). Of course, ideal when this happened, one of the contractors working outside looked up at my window, and I swiftly scooted out of the way like an apparition in an old horror movie, haha! ពិតប្រាកដណាស់។

So I experimented with a few pencils and really liked the way MAC’s pro Longwear Lip Pencil in depend on in Red works with both of these colors. It’s a amazing red with a creamy finish, and I think it goes well with VGR’s amazing blueish red tones.

Channeling Billy Idol…
First, I line my lips with depend on in Red, then feather out the edges with a finger. I do a layer of Viva Glam Rihanna (applied directly from the tube), and top it with the matching Lipglass. It’s an extra step, but I like that charming edge.

If you’re ready for these reds, Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick and Lipglass are available now at MAC stores and maccosmetics.com.

I wonder if RiRi would appreciate this…

Because I absolutely do, hahaha! This is from kittiesandbullshit.com, a web site filled with funny drawings of cats and song lyrics.

So, basically, it’s my dream come true.

RIGHT?!

I hear the site’s been around a while, but I didn’t know about it, and you know what they say, right? Ignorance of cat-themed humor is cat lady bliss.
